We're getting ready

So here he is. This is the big guy who is causing all this trouble in my life. I would like for him to just disappear. We have been in prepare mode now a few days. We were already on alert for Ms. Fay but nothing but a little rain came out of her. So this seems to be even more serious. I went to Walmart to day and peoples carts were full of water bottles and paper plates and canned goods. Lots of people stocked up on soda and chips. A friend that I was chatting with mentioned the same thing and it boggled our minds a bit. But whatever gets you through I guess. I was surprised at how much stuff was gone. Baby diapers(luckily I got the last package of #2's they had) and canned goods. I stocked up on stuff to get us out of here like snacks for the road. I would imagine by Saturday we will know at least what me and the kids are doing. As I was coming home from the famous wally world on my street there are two people boarding up their houses right now. It made me want to cry seeing how they have no windows to be seen and all the boards are marked as to what window they fit. Tom will be boarding up our house tomorrow. I kinda want to panic but the Lord has already told us we will know when to get out. It doesn't mean that it will be easy nor will it be pleasant but it will certainly be an adventure. I hear that a little girl named Hannah or something is chasing Gustav's footsteps. I pray that they will disappear like the wind that brought them to our area.

Dana,
You are so sweet, thank you for the comments! I love all your blogs and I love that I get to know you better :)
Good luck with your hurricane prep, if you have any questions or need anything, PLEASE call. And I know this sounds c-r-a-z-y but try not to stress and worry. That is what I did for the first few storms and I look back and think that was silly of me. As long as you prepare and have everything you need to stay or to travel with, it will all work out. It will still be a stressful experience, but it goes smoother when you just PREPARE and PRAY! Faith is amazing!

Okay, maybe I am twisted and crazy, but that sounds fun! If you are all ready, then you are there for the ride. A memory that you guys will NEVER forget. I miss the tornado's in Oklahoma. In our day, the weather is easier to predict and prepare for. I hope that you have fun and enjoy the ride!

brace yourself, I've been thinking about your family as I watched the news tonight...looks like it'll go west of new orleans and not east, but either way I sure hope you all aren't affected, let us know, and we'll be thinking of you!
