All I can say is you wouldn't know how a mother feels to see her son pass the sacrament unless you have experienced it. My sister in law told me about my nephew who is 3 months older than Aaron about him getting the priesthood and going to Young Mens activities. I was happy for him and her but I didn't really realize what that felt like until Aaron turned 12. He was ordained as a deacon and given the Aaronic priesthood yesterday. I am so proud of him words can not express. Before he passed the sacrament I asked him if he was nervous. He very calmly told me no I'm fine. We let me tell you I was nervous for him. He was so reverent and I was the proudest mama in the congregation. I can't wait for my other sons to experience these same things. He was so excited about being ordained that he was dressed for church hours before we were ready to go. He had his first fire-side last night as a Young Man. He loved it. He will be teaching the lesson next week in priesthood too. There are just so many first that my joy is over flowing for him. I am so proud that he is worthy to hold the priesthood. I am so proud of how he was so reverent at passing the sacrament. I am so proud that he brought the bread for the sacrament without reminder. And I am so proud that he agreed to teach the lesson without being scared out of him mind. I am just so proud of my baby. The picture is (l-r) our Bishop Drews, Dad and son, John a friend in our ward who was only baptised 6 weeks ago and was the first time he layed his hands on anyones head, and Ron Hearn a grandfather we just recently discovered was living very close to us. There are so many of you that I wish had been there for this wonderful day. Just know that I was proud enough of him for all of you combined!!!

Looking at this picture made me tear up just thinking about these boys of ours growing up. You're right, there are so many great firsts ahead of them. Way to go Aaron!
Definitely a proud moment as a mother! You are so right, words cannot express the joy and the sweet feeling to watch your child grow in the gospel!
