Guess what??

We are back and have so much to update on but first thing is first. Guess what we found out about our sweet little Eliza. She has acid reflux. The day before we left she had a well baby and shots and I talked to the doctor about how she cries all the time and is not eating well. She has only gained 4 ounces in 2 months. The doc says she has acid reflux and perscribed medicine. I was just elated that something could actually be wrong. I mean I thought why is it that the Lord has seen fit to send us such a hard child and I must be doing something wrong. So the way the doc described it is this. Her tummy hurts and spits up acid into her esophagus and it is getting burned. So she gave her medicine to control the acid and medicine to coat her esophagus so that she will want to eat instead of it hurting. I have tried everything bottles, formula, cereal and nothing. The doc said that when a baby has this they just learn that it hurts to eat and decide they won't do it at all. She is back to my sweet little Eliza that I met when she was born. I am just elated. I wish that you all could meet her- the happy her. She is just a doll.

Did I ever tell you that's what Thadeus had?? Yep. He did the same. You will be suprised by the medicine. Also, I elevated Thad's bed slightly. It helped him sleep. You can take the matress and put a blanket to hike it up on one end...just slightly. It will help lots too.
When are you planning to be in Zebulon?

I knew that girl was just misunderstood. She was fun while she was here. I didn't get to hold her as much as I would have liked but glad to kiss on those sweet cheeks.
