Everybody loves babies

Everybody loves babies right? Well we had my sister here this last week and she has twin girls. You would think with mine too there would be enough babies to go around right? Well think again.
There were still fights over who was going first and who wanted to hold which girl. Its nice that all the kids love babies and want to hold them so much. Its just hard sometimes keeping up with who's turn it is and how long the last one got to hold them. None the less we all enjoyed each other!!! Top picture:Isabel and Eliza Middle picture: Emma and (I guess) Anna becuase I can't tell them apart to save my life. (right or wrong Allison? ) Bottom picture: Gabe and Eliza. Gabe was my little helper all week. We would be in the car and he would either get her to take a pacifier or he would rub her long enough that she would go to sleep. One day he told me I didn't buckle her in her car seat. OH yes I am sure I did. He insisted that I didn't. So we stopped the car and sure enough I hadn't gotten the thing that straps across the chest snapped. What a little life saver you are Gabe!!!!

Sweet Baby Blessing

Here are a couple of pictures of her in her blessing dress. It was very nice and spiritual. WE did it at home. My mother and sister were able to be here as well as our Bishop and his family. It was very nice. It seemed perfect for her personality. Very low fan fair but very sacred and special. We took more pictures this morning when everyone was in their church clothes. So enjoy.

Sweet little ones?

I love this picture. Both kids look so sweet. And deep down they really are. But you start to wonder when you find your son taking his toothbrush and scraping the inside of the toilet with it and then proceeding to brush his own teeth with it. What he was thinking?? I have no clue. But how disgusting is that? This is the same kid that puts everything in his mouth from desitin, desinex, to legos that he chokes on. It really is a wonder he doesn't get more sick than he does. This is the same kid that eats paper like its candy and then puts the toilet cleaner brush in his mouth and sucks on it too. I guess he will live since he has lived this long.

Unflattering faces

I was trying to get some good pictures of Eliza with some of the boys but she was not wanting any of it. These are some of the weird faces she made working herself up to a major cry.

Tired?

One is really asleep one is really faking it so they can get their picture taken. Which is which? I must say I must the luckiest mom in the world. I have all the beautiful kids and not to mention I am only having to wake up once at night to feed Eliza. What could be better? Now I might be a little more grumpy next week when I have to get up to get the kids up for school and can't sleep in with Eliza but well deal with that as it comes. Tom was home last week and did all that and this week the kids have spring break so I can sleep in. Give up? Sarah was really asleep with her. Emma was faking it.

Sarah's 1st Grade Play

I wish I could have been there for this but she looks like she had a lot of fun. Tom said she was the only one who was animated out of her class. For those of you that may not recognize her she is the one bouncing up and down in the second row with the long hair. Tom said that this might be something that Sarah really might like to do. Perform. She wasn't even scared. What a sweetie. And I am not sure why she was making the face she was in the picture but I thought it was cute.

New Pics

It was requested to have a picture without a pacifier in her mouth. And I agree. This is her 4 days old. Look at the one at the bottom. She looks like she is striking a pose. Yall may get sick of seeing pictures of her but I am just in love and can't help myself. She has taken to a pacifier like she's been doing it all her life. That is a feat in itself because none of my other kids have taken pacifiers. She had lots of tummy issues last night and I was so grateful she would take it a little bit. It hurts your heart when you know they hurt and you can't do anything to help them. Once we got her to sleep she slept for 5 1/2 hours. Poor little girl.

Eliza Faith Porritt
She is the most beautiful baby!!!
3 Days Old

Homecoming

This was just a little bit of the homecoming that we received when we got home from the hospital. A friend of mine came in and decorated the house and the inside with all kinds of wonderful goodies. It was so sweet. It made me feel good that even though this is our 7th she is just as important as the first one!!! By the way everyone has asked and she is now official as Eliza Faith Porritt. She is the sweetest little girl and I am so grateful that she and Heavenly Father insisted that she come to OUR family.

Bonding Time for little Eliza. Mom and baby are now home and doing well. This was taken after she was born. The medical staff had gone and we still had the baby. At least they let us bond a little before whisking here away to the nursery.

Thursday, March 6, 2008

Many of our freinds and family have awaited this post with great anticipation. On 6 March 2008 we welcomed Eliza (Faith/Grace there is still debate on the name) into the world. We hope the following photos show our pride and joy. Both mother and baby are doing well. The Birth was routine except for some minor challenges for the nursing staff at the end. I will let Dana elaborate when she returns home form the hospital. For now enjoy the photos!

Birthday wishes

Can you tell that Emma loves pink. Well the cake was a hit. In fact the frosting more than anything. 2 days after the birthday there are about 3 pieces still left but there is no frosting on those pieces. She is a very girly girl. Its nice to have one of those.
We celebrated with her preschool friends today and she had a lot of fun. Maybe too much. She said that she needed presents. I was so embarrassed when she said that. I have not raised her to act like that. Anyway its been a successful birthday none the less.

Finished product

Okay I know that you all have been waiting with baited breath to find out how this cake that the cake monster decided to munch on. It looks good here then you turn it around and wala. No matter how hard I tried I could not get that big gapping whole covered up.

Cake Monster

We obviously have a little cake monster in the house. This I think is the first birthday cake I have made completely from scratch. I have made other cakes and stuff from scratch but they had a lot of other things involved. This is just a plain ole birthday cake. Anyway I was letting them cool and off all things I was on the phone. And the cake monster came to our house. I took two pictures because I wasn't sure which angle you could tell what damage was done. I haven't even gotten to the frosting stage yet and there is already a casualty. I am sure it will look just fine though. I have shewed said cake monster out of kitchen probably half a dozen times since seeing this. I am just hoping we can make to the table in time to sing to Emma tonight. Thats the goal.
