Memory game

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. Anything goes :)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll check to see if you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

You always let me sleep in your single bed with you. (I don't know why you were so nice.) And the night before you left for AK, we all slept on the floor with you. I think we all somehow knew you wouldn't be back. I did.

I loved sleeping with you...you were nice about letting us sleep with you. Again, I have TONS of memories. My most recent is kicking your sorry butt at Canasta! HA HA! When I was working for Alfa, we would always talk. You were the one who convinced me to take a pregnancy test. I thought you were crazy but you were right...8 months later, Isabel came along. I really do have a butt load of memories but I will just stick with that one for now.

I remember first meeting you. We didn't get much time to talk or hang out, but you come out to our wedding with Emma. I remember thinking how beautiful she was - and how all of Reid's nieces and nephews were so cute. I was really hoping that those genes would pass on for us! The next day Allison had Gabe and he was beautiful too - I was sure I hit the jackpot! LOL!! Glad we've had more time to catch up since then!

Oh my gosh so many memories of you. But the BEST is you laugh. Which makes me think of the uncontrolled laughter we had at Allison's house playing Canasta late - I am surprised that Erik didn't come downstairs and chew us out. Anyway I remember when you were about 3 years old carrying Allison to me and saying "heaby, mamma heaby" - You were such a great helper even that young. You were born going on age 32!

One other memory I wanted to add because it is special to me - You went to girls camp one year and I had prayed that you would feel the spirit there and come back with a stronger testimony - well the Lord listens to a mother's prayers - You told me that when Bishop Van Hoy was praying after testimony meeting you peek up and saw him surounded by bright light. Do you remember that. That too is a great experience to hear from you child.

Loved the phone call indicating you were in labor, and I was invited... I have a vivid memory of you in the birthing room, calm as apple pie, eyes closed, glasses coming on and off (signalling of a contraction) and me thinking, Man, this is what this woman was made to do. The birth of your little Matthew will always be with me as I was able to share in the joy of seeing him come into the world. Your an amazing mom!

Oh you know it was nice having you and Steph there for the birth. I was nervous before hand but once I got into labor it didn't matter who was there. That was an awesome memory. I am really grateful to have that documentation of his birth. Thanks for all the compliments they are very nice to get!!!

Hey Dana!! I am glad you found me! I can't believe you have 7 kids now. We are done with 5, thought about one more, but we are enjoying being "done." Looks like you are enjoying life where you are. Most of my memories of you involve workout group...hope you are still working out!! :)
